Woke up: 6:15a.m.
Left Camp: 7:45
Stopped: 5:30
Another strange day, I wish I took more notes from it. We woke up and looked at our data sheet to look where purified water was and it said it was 5 miles away.
We were about 2 hours into our day and I was starting to get really worried because we didn't see any purified water yet. We thought we had missed it and the next water source wasn't for another 8 miles. After hiking for another 10 minutes we finally found the water.
This was by far the hottest day we experienced. Temperatures were in the high 80's and my body felt it. I was so exhausted physically and mentally.
After we filled up our water bottles, the next time we stopped to look at our trail map to where we are and we realized that we had hiked 15 miles in less than 5 hours. I remember being so happy after we figured it out because we didn't have to hike much further before we had to set up camp.
We again stopped at a natural spring, Alexander Spring where we stopped to have lunch and to rest our feet.
By the time we got to camp that night all I wanted to do was be done because I was so drained. My ankle has begun to swell up because of all of the uneven ground.
