On Friday, October 2nd it took me 2 hours to get to work because the underground was shut down at London Bridge, the stop where I get off. I was over a hour late to work because of it but luckily everyone was understanding and they told me to get used to it because it happens frequently.
I'm enjoying my internship at Sport Inspired and I like their overall goal even more. Everyone at Sport Inspired are easy to get along with. They know the main reason I'm here is to get their international experience and to travel so they are flexible with what hours I work.
Class is class no matter where you go. My professors are interesting to say the least. I do think I will like my Travel Writing class a lot mainly because of the professor because he's energetic and compassionate about the class. My 2 internship classes in my eyes are pointless and irrelevant. 3 hours to reflect on an internship is a bit excessive.
My flat mates are nice, 2 from the UK(Jordan and Isabelle), 1 from Germany(Kim), 1 from Hungary(Diana) and 1 from outside Hong Kong(Dan. It doesn't seem like any my flat mates are going to want to travel this semester which is upsetting to me because that's all I would like to do. It also doesn't make sense to me as to why I am living in Harrow because I only have 1 class here and everything else(class/work) are located in central London.
I am most likely going to be traveling alone for some places which definitely sucks but I'm here to travel and not to just sit around.
Week 1 is in the books and I'm already happy with my experience here. The journey is just beginning.
