Day 3 Florida Trail

Monday, March 9

Woke up at:6:30a.m.
Left camp: 8:30a.m.
Finished: 5:30p.m.
17 miles total.

Lots and lots of road walking on Day which was rough and hot!

We left the GreenWay Trail and hiked about 10 miles until we reached the Ocala National Forest.

As soon we got into the Ocala National Forest we walked through swamp for about 3 miles. It took about 3 hours to go 3 miles. Just to tell you how slow that was, when we were road walking we were walking just over 3 miles a hour!

My legs have never been more exhausted! Another hot and sunny day was wearing me out. It had me questioning, why was I even walking this far?

We set up camp in an open area and later that night we found a scorpion. As cool as that is, that was the only animal that is even worth mentioning from the trip.
